Installation

A compact matrix, ready to install.

The Ami04Ami04D is a 4×4 digital audio matrix in a half-rack 1U format, supplied with its rack-mount brackets for immediate integration into any rack or equipment cabinet.

Its 4 balanced inputs and 4 balanced outputs on Euroblock connectors, input gain adjustable up to 48 dB and 48 V phantom power let you connect microphones, line sources and amplifiers without any extra adaptation.

Powered over PoE or DC 12 V, it installs with no mains wiring constraints, even in the tightest spaces.

Power

PoE power — one cable is all it takes.

The Ami04Ami04D is PoE powered (IEEE 802.3af), meaning a single Cat5 or better network cable is enough to power the matrix and connect it to the control network.

No extra mains wiring, no external power supply to plan for — one network socket does everything. An external DC 12 V power supply is also included for configurations where PoE is not available.

DSP

A powerful DSP for tailor-made processing.

The Ami04Ami04D packs an ADI SHARC 21489 processor and a DSP fully configurable through the AmiControl software.

Automix, echo and ambient noise cancellation, parametric and graphic equalizers, delay, gate, compressor, limiter — every input and every output gets its own precise, independent processing.

The 16 exportable presets let you replicate an identical configuration across several sites in seconds.

Every source deserves the best processing.

The Ami04Ami04D offers a fully configurable input DSP, enabled on demand to match the actual needs of the installation.

Dante

The Ami04D — the same matrix with the Dante network.

The Ami04D is the Dante version of the Ami04. It keeps exactly the same 4×4 analog connectivity, the same DSP features, the same control protocols and the same AmiControl software.

It adds an independent Dante 4×4 interface, routing 4 additional digital audio channels over the existing IT network or a dedicated one — with no dedicated audio cabling whatsoever.

A remote source, a microphone in another room, an output feeding a distant amplifier: everything travels over a single RJ45 cable.

Control & interface

An interface tailored to your client.

The Ami04Ami04D is configured with the AmiControl software on Windows, then controlled day to day from Windows, Android or iOS.

In AmiControl, the installer visually builds the control interface the end user will see on Android and iOS: faders, buttons, source selectors, all in a fully customized graphic environment — client logo, wallpaper, colors, element layout.

What the end user sees and touches is entirely up to the installer.

AmiControl — the configuration software.

The Ami04Ami04D is set up and configured from AmiControl, a Windows application available for download here.

User rights management defines precisely what each account can access — volume ranges, fader groups, visible functions. 35 input groups and 35 output groups let you act on several linked channels at once.

The AmiCTL wall controllers.

The Ami04Ami04D is compatible with the AmiCTL1 (6 programmable buttons + rotary) and AmiCTL2 (rotary encoder + OLED display, up to 32 programmable menus) wall controllers, both PoE powered over a single network cable.

There is no limit to the number of controllers per matrix. The Android-powered Nexus wall-mounted tablets let you deploy the customized AmiControl interface as a tailor-made wall control panel.

Command capture and third-party protocols.

The command capture tool built into AmiControl identifies and assigns each command without hunting through a list — every command has its own identifier, and so does every action. The matrix communicates over RS232, RS485 and UDP for control and third-party equipment integration.

Connectivity & format

Connectivity & format.

The Ami04Ami04D adopts a compact half-rack 1U format, supplied with its rack-mount brackets for immediate mounting in a 19″ rack.

All audio inputs and outputs are balanced on Euroblock connectors, ensuring a clean, professional installation with no adapters.

Input gain is adjustable from 0 to 48 dB in 3 dB steps, and each input channel has switchable 48 V phantom power.

The matrix is powered over PoE (IEEE 802.3af) or DC 12 V through the included external power supply, for an installation free of mains wiring constraints. Maximum power consumption is 10 W.

Routing

Any source, to any zone.

The Ami04Ami04D provides full 4 in / 4 out4 in / 4 out analog and 4 in / 4 out Dante matrix routing, sending any source — analog or networked — to any zone, on its own or mixed with others.

The built-in Automix automatically manages levels when several sources share the same space, for a natural result without manual intervention.

The 16 exportable user presets switch instantly from one configuration to another, or roll out the same configuration across several installations in seconds.
